Hair Saga

I cut my own hair last night. Might not have been the best idea ever, but it worked out. I am tired of explaining how I want my hair to hairdressers who never do what I want. So I decided to try it myself.

I am surprised at how well it turned out. I am proud of myself. Too bad I can’t make any money cutting my OWN hair.

At least I don’t look like a mushroom head. When I don’t get the right layers, I look like one of those mushroom guys from Mario Brothers.

Every time I look in the mirror, I think, “1UP”

Well NO MORE my friends. I am mushroom-free. Oh, and I have bangs now, holla!!!!

I touched an iPhone for the first time today. I feel like I really am part of the technological world now. But now I have that song from the commercial running through my head.

mmmmm... Calamari.

Look, I am checking out what’s happening in the world of Betsy's Blog from the convenient iPod internet screen! (while my computer sits idle directly behind me.)

It was kindof hard to type on the keyboard thing, but I was EXTREMELY impressed by the clarity of the screen. And the whole “touch screen” concept was really easy to use too. My fingers are just too fat to touch the letters on the key pad, I guess.

So, if you care about the opinion of a non-technically savvy person who used the iPhone for about 3 minutes and will never buy one ever:

I think it was pretty cool.

I Say Hello

I think I am having a migraine today. I went home at lunch yesterday feeling really nauseous, and just like, passed out for three hours. Then this morning, I am still a little sicky, and my head was splitting.

Now I just feel sick, and my left eye is blurry a little.

I haven’t had a migraine in a long time, but I think this is it.

Probably not a good idea to be staring at the computer screen all day, but what can you do. I only have a set number of sick days.

Maybe I will just stare out the window rather than at the computer screen. Sounds like a fun and productive day at the office.

Orange Avenue Band

This band is GREAT.

Orange Avenue

They have been playing at the Speedway for the past couple of years for me, and they are just the nicest guys ever. They are also extremely talented. This band is going to be HUGE.

Here's a video they sent me to on YouTube. It was shot at the Speedway this weekend at the Pepsi 400. No, I did not make the video, and you better believe I complained about it. Haha.

I DID make the video, one of the guys pointed out. At about 2:45 (41 seconds left), look in the background behind the guitarist with the dark colored shirt. I am standing there rocking out in a green striped shirt. YES!

Seriously. You Decide to Rain NOW.

Ok, Central Florida has been in a three-year drought.

Since 2004, we are down 24" of rain than normal.

But oh, guess what, we have a race tomorrow. So let's catch up a little!

This is what the sky has looked like for the past 4 days. We have probably gotten 14” of rain since yesterday.

Looks like I’m in for a looooooooooong weekend.

It's Go Time

It’s almost the Pepsi 400…

T-Minus 3 days 5 hours 46 minutes.

I think I am good to go for this NASCAR Summer Extravaganza. The weather isn’t looking too promising, so it might make for an EXTREMELY long weekend. Rain outs are the worst. I just hope we get the race in on Saturday, no matter how long it takes. REALLY don’t want to have to race on Sunday.
